Question

A solution has been prepared by dissolving 5g of urea in 95g of water. What is the mass percent of urea in the solution ?

Solution

Here weight of solute(urea) is 5gm

Weight of solvent(water) is 95gm

Mass percentage =
{weight of solute÷weight of solution(solvent+solute) }×100

[5÷(95+5)]×100
[5÷100]×100

Mass percentage of urea=5%

I hope you understand.
