And also,
¯ν=1λ=R×Z2[1n211n22]

Therefore,
λ=1¯ν=115222.22=6.569×105cm=6569˚A (visible light wavelength)
Clearly, it lies in the visible region i.e., in Balmer series. Hence, n1=2. Using the relation for wave number for H atom,

¯ν=1λ=RZ2(1n211n22)

15222.22=109677(1221n22)

n2=3

The required transition is 32.
