Solution

Dear Student,

Nickel is a Ferromagnetic material , so it can be lifted by magnet however if ferromagnetic materials are heated then after reaching a certain temperature known as curie temperature they loose their ferromagnetism and hence will not get attaracted towards magnet above this temperature. This is the reason why on heating magnet releases nickel.
