Frequency: 7 14 13 12 20 11 15 8

Here, the maximum frequency is 20 so the modal class is 40−50.

Therefore,



Mode=l+f-f12f-f1-f2×h=40+20-122×20-12-11×10=40+817×10=40+4.7=44.7

Thus, the mode of the data is 44.7.
