Question

A train 50 M long passes over a bridge at a speed of 30 km if it takes 36 second to cross the bridge the length of the bridge will be what

Open in App
Solution

Let the length of bridge be x m
length of train = 50m
distance covered by train = (50+x) m
speed = 30km/h => 30×5/18 => 25/3 m/s
time taken = 36 s
we know that ,
speed=distance/time
distance = Speed × time
50+x = 25/3×36
x = 300-50 => 250m
