The correct option is C i2j2+k2
Let ^a=li+mj+nk where l2+m2+n2=1
a makes an angle π4 with z-axis
n=12
l2+m2=12....(i)
then, ^a=li+mj+k2
Now, ^a+i+j=(l+1)i+(m+1)j+k2...(ii)
Its magnitude is 1, hence
(l+1)2+(m+1)2=12...(ii)
From Eqs (i) and (ii) we get
2(l+m+1)=0
(l+m)2=(1)2
l2+m2+2lm=1
2lm=12l=m=12
Hence, ^a=i2j2+k2
