Solution

The correct option is A 2.24 L
1.6 g of oxygen corresponds to 1.632=0.05 moles.
It occupies a volume of 22.4×0.05=1.12 L at STP.
When the pressure is reduced to half, the volume is doubled.
The new volume is 2×1.12=2.24 L.
