A wall 9 m long, 6 m high and 20 cm thick, is to be constructed using bricks of dimensions 30 cm, 15 cm and 10 cm. How many bricks will be required ?

It is given that
Length of the wall =9m=9×100cm=900cm
Height of the hall 6m=6×100cm=600cm
Breadth of the wall =20cm
We know that
Volume of the wall =900×600×20cm3=10800000cm3
Volume of one Brick =30×15×10cm3=4500cm3
So we get
Number of bricks required to construct the wall=volumeofwallVolumeofonebrick=108000004500=2400
