Solution

a)Synthetic fabrics are textiles made from man-made rather than natural fibers. Examples of synthetic fabrics include polyester, acrylic, nylon, rayon, acetate, spandex, lastex, orlon and Kevlar. Synthetic (chemically produced) fabrics are made by joining monomers into polymers, through a process called polymerization.

b)Synthetic fibres are durable, less expensive, they dry up quickly, readily available and easy to maintain. These properties of synthetic fibres make them more popular than natural fibres.
