A simple machine is a device which is used to tranmit force. It has the following functions..
To act as a force multiplier.
To shift the thing from one place to another.
To change the direction
To multiple speed

An ideal machine is one which do not have any loss of energy in any manner......
It works on the principle ; Work output=work input.
Ideal machine is originally an hypothetical mechanical system in which energy and power are not lost or dissipated through friction, deformation. The output energy is equal to the input energy. Therefore, mathematically we can express it as input=output. This is the principal of an ideal machine
