a). The slow eating up of metals layer by layer due to the reaction with moisture present in air is known as corrosion.

b). The condition required for rusting of iron is in the presence of moisture & iron should be coating free.

c). The Surface corrosion forms an oxide layer which further protects the inner metal from corrosion. It means the Corrosion of metals is an advantage as it prevents the metal underneath from further damage
