(a) When acid is added to base there occurs neutralization reaction in which the products are salt and base.

(b) Dry HCl gas does not ionize to produce H+ ions. hence, it does not show acidic properties and therefore does not change the color of dry litmus paper.

(c) Phenolphthalein in a basic medium exists in pink color.
