Solution

A)The small intestine is longer in herbivore than in carnivore because herbivores eat only grass which is full of cellulose. The digestion of cellulose takes a long time. But for carnivores, it needs small time for digestion as it takes only flesh of herbivores.

B)The mucus protects our stomach lining from acids and enzymes. If mucus is not secreted by the gastric glands then the hydrochloric acid will digest and corrode the stomach walls.

c)Rhythmic contractions and relaxations causes movement of food inside the alimentary canal
