Question

A wire of fixed length is wound on a solenoid of length l and radius r. It's self inductance is found to be L. Now if same wire is wound on a solenoid of length l/2 and radius r/2, then self inductance will be (1) 2L (2) L/2 (3) 3L (4) 4L In this case, do we consider the length of the wire or length of the solenoid in the formula of self inductance? (Is the number of turns per unit length of the wire or number of turns per unit length of the wire accounted?)
