Open in App
Solution

The air moves from outside into the lungs through the wind pipe.

The alveoli are tiny air sacs that are found at the end of each of bronchioles which are branches that branch out from the wind pipe or the trachea. The air finally reaches the bronchioles so that it can be distributed to the other parts of the body, but initially it enters through the wind pipe or trachea. The diaphragm is a sheet of internal skeletal muscle that extends across the bottom of the rib cage. The diaphragm separates the thoracic cavity from the abdominal cavity and plays an important role in respiration. As the diaphragm contracts the volume of the thoracic cavity increases and the air is drawn into the lungs. Heart is a natural pump in the body which transfers blood to all parts of the body.
