But here we could employ an intelligent short cut. Since both are pictures of the same cube showing no overlapping colours implies that they have been taken from diagonally opposite vertices. Hence every pair of corresponding colours are actually oppositely placed. This means that white is opposite to orange. And green is opposite to yellow and finally blue is opposite to red.
