An employee works in a company on a contract of $30$ days on the condition that he will receive Rs. $200$ for each day he works and he will be fined Rs. $20$ for each day he is absent. If he receives Rs. $3800$ in all, for how many days did he remain absent?

Total money the man earn if he does not absent $= 30 \times 200 = 600$ Rs.
Man earned $= 3800$ Rs.
Difference $= 6000 - 3800 = 2200$ Rs.
$\Rightarrow$ for each day man absent he lose Rs. $200$ of daily earning and fined RS. $20$
$∴$ Total money lost for $1$ day absent $= 200 + 20 = R s . 220$
$∴$ No. of day he absent $= \frac{2200}{220} = 10$ days
