(i) The objective of this experiment is to show that oxygen is evolved during photosynthesis.

(ii) Hydrilla is used in this experiment.

(iii) Oxygen is evolved during this process.

(iv) The rate of evolution of oxygen will increase, as the amount of carbon dioxide will increase on adding sodium bicarbonate. This will result in an increase in the rate of photosynthesis.

(v) If the apparatus is kept in dark, no photosynthesis will take and no oxygen will be evolved.
