An object of height 2.00 cm is placed 30.0 cm from a convex spherical mirror of focal length of magnitude 10.0 cm.
(a) Find the location of the image.
(b) Indicate whether the image is upright or inverted.
(c) Determine the height of the image.

The mirror is convex so f = -10 cm
(a)1q=1f1p=7.50cm
Image distance is negative thus image is virtual, the image is 7.50 cm behind the mirror.
(b) M=qp=7.5030=+0.0250
The magnification is positive so the image is uprigth
(c) from above M=hhh=Mh=0.250×2=0.500cm
