(a) The saturated solution of hydrogen chloride gas in water is called concentrated hydrochloric acid and it contains 36 percent by weight of hydrogen chloride.
(b) Greenish yellow chlorine gas is evolved leaving behind a white residue in the test tube when conc. hydrochloric acid is added to lead(IV) oxide with warming.
(c) Concentrated sulphuric acid must be added to must be added to sodium chloride to obtain hydrogen chloride.
(d) Dense white fumes of ammonium chloride are produced.
