## a) $$\displaystyle E^0_{cell} =E^0_{Ag}-E^0_{Mg}$$$$\displaystyle E^0_{cell} =0.80-(-2.37)=3.17$$ V$$\displaystyle E_{cell} =E^0_{cell} = - \dfrac {0.0592}{n}log \dfrac {[Mg^{2+}]}{[Ag^+]^2}$$$$\displaystyle E_{cell} =3.17 - \dfrac {0.0592}{2}log \dfrac {0.001}{(0.0001)^2}$$$$\displaystyle E_{cell} =3.022$$ Vb) Fuel cells: The galvanic cells in which the energy of the combustion of fuels is directly converted into electrical energy are called fuel cells.
