  • Eukaryotic cells contain a membrane-bound nucleus and numerous membrane-bound cell organelles( mitochondrial, lysosomes, golgi apparatus) not found in prokaryotes. In a eukaryotic cell, the linear chromosome is present in the nucleus in which the DNA is arranged in multiple linear molecules of DNA. In contrast, most prokaryotic cells contain circular chromosomes, where the DNA is arranged in one large circular molecule. Hence Assertion is Correct.
  • Prokaryotes have their genomic DNA concentrated and localized to a small area within the cell (nucleoid region). They do not have a nucleus. Hence Reason is Incorrect.
