A nucleosome is a section of the chromosome in which DNA wrapped around a core of histone proteins. It is the fundamental subunit of chromatin. The octamer core of histone proteins is made up of two units each of H2A, H2B, H3 and H4. The H1 histone is a monomer which acts as a linker to attach one complete nucleosome structure externally. When the chromatin is extended the structure resembles beads on a string.
So, The Reason mentioned is not the correct explanation of Assertion. Thus the correct answer is option A.
