Assertion Conjugate bases of HNO3 and HNO2 are NO3 and NO2 respectively. NO 3 has 3 resonating structure's where as NO2 has only two. So, NO3is more stable than NO2 which means HNO3 is stronger acid than HNO2.

HNO 3 has 3 N-O bonds and HNO2 has 2 . So,the reason is wrong and assertion is true.
