PbS i.e. lead sulfide is insoluble in excess of NaOH (sodium hydroxide). This is because, lead sulfide has a low solubility product which makes it insoluble when sodium hydroxide is used in excess.
Also, PbS has low solubility product than lead hydroxide i.e. Pb(OH)2.
