Sunrise and Sunset occur due to rotation of the planet on its own axis. On earth, Sunrise is seen in the east direction and sunset is seen in the west direction. In case of Venus, Because its direction of rotation is opposite to earth rotation so Sunrise is seen in the West and Sunset is seen in the East. Hence given Assertion is true and also Reason is also true.
