x2(3)2+y2(2)2=1
Area of ellipse =π(3)(2)=3.14×1.7×1.41=7.8 sq. units.
Area bounded by |x|3+|y|2=1 or 2|x|+3|y|=6 is the area of the parallelogram as shown.
=4×12×3×2=12 sq. units
Also, length of the major axis =26<3+3.
