The Ovarian cycle of the female reproductive system is the period when the oocytes mature, breaks free from the ovary and travels through the oviduct to the uterus. Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) a gonadotropin is a glycoprotien poly peptide hormone which is synthesized and secreted by gonodotropin cells of the pituitary gland. This along with the LH regulates the ovarian cycles.
