Bending of waves around corners is due to diffraction of waves. The larger the wavelength, the larger obstacle can it bend around.
The wavelength range of sound waves lies in order of a few cm to a few meters, whereas visible rays are few hundred nanometers. So the wavelength of sound is far greater than light. Hence, we can hear around obstacles but not see around them.
