Battle of Mandsaur was prominent in spreading dominance of Marathas in Rajputana. It was fought between Holkars (Martha confederate) and Rajputs of Amber (Jaipur). The victory of Marthas lead to further conquest of Bundi and Bundelkhand bringing them near to Delhi. It also enthused Scindhia (also a confederate of Marathas) to attack Rajputs.
