Two slides which are directed in the two opposite directions are combined with the vertical stairs in the midway between the two sliders.

The lengths of both the slides are same, the width of the slide is 1 m and the distance AC = 5 m. Find the distance AB.

If you consider ΔACE and ΔBDF,
Given that, distances kids can slide on both the sliders are same.
AE = FB
EC = FD
ACE = FDB = 90°(Since the stairs are vertical)
ΔACE and ΔBDF are congruent using RHS congruence criterion
AC = DB = 5 m

The distance AB = AC + CD + DB = 5m + 1m + 5m = 11 m
