Solution

Reaction takesplace in the solution.
CuSO4(aq)Copper (II) sulphate(Blue solution)+Fe(s)Iron metalFeSO4(aq)Iron (II) sulphateGreenish solution+Cu(s)Copper metal

The above reaction indicates that there is a reaction between copper sulphate solution and iron metal. Iron metal is more reactive than copper hence it can displace copper from its solution. Due to the reaction of iron metal with copper sulphate solution, some of the iron from the surface of the iron pot moves into the solution. This results in the number of holes in it.
