Solution

The correct option is C a=14b
Given:-
For H2 gas,
CpCv=a
For N2 gas,
CpCv=b

As we know that
Cp,mCv,m=R

whereas,
Cp,m and Cv,m are the heat capacity in cal/mol.K.

As
Cp,m=MCp; and
Cv,m=MCv

Where as Cp and Cv heat capacity in cal/gK
MCpMCv=R
(CpCv)=RM

For H2 gas,
CpCv=R2
a=R2
R=2a(1)

For N2 gas,
CpCv=R28
b=R28
R=28b(2)

Now, from eqn(1)&(2), we have

2a=28b
a=14b

Hence (C) is the correct answer.
