Solution

The correct option is A 1.437
Given: Reading for the bottom of an empty breaker : 11.324 cm, reading for the bottom of the beaker, when partially filled with the liquid : 11.802 cm, reading for the upper level of the liquid in the beaker : 12.895 cm
To find the refractive index of the liquid
Solution:
Real depth of the beaker = 12.895--11.324=1.571
Apparent depth = 12.895-11.802=1.093
Refractive index of the liquid = Real DepthApparent Depth=1.5711.093=1.437
