Solution

The correct option is A apoplast pathway
Casparian strips are made up of suberin and are found along the radial and tangential walls of endodermal cells. They are impervious to water.
In an apoplast pathway, the water moves through the cell walls and intercellular spaces.
As the cell walls of the endodermis layer have casparian strips, water cannot penetrate through this layer.

In the symplast pathway, the water moves through the cells by crossing plasma membranes and passing through the cytoplasm of cells and intercellular movement is by plasmodesmata.

Mycorrhiza is the symbiotic association of fungi with roots of higher plants. Mycorrhizal absorption is absorption of water and minerals by the fungi. As the hyphae of fungi have large surface area, more amount of water and minerals are absorbed by the fungi and provided to the plant.
