CHCl325 g+Cl225 gCCl4+HCl
Number of moles of CHCl3=25 g119.5 g/mol=0.209 mol
Number of moles of Cl2=25 g71 g/mol=0.352 mol
CHCl3 is the limiting reagent and Cl2 is the excess reagent
So, CCl4 formed will be =0.209 mole of CHCl3×1 mole of CCl41 mole of CHCl3=0.209 mol
Weight of CCl4=0.209 mol× 154 g/mol=32.18 g
