Example:
Titration of HCl with NH4OH
On addition of NH4OH , highly mobile H3O+ ions are replaced by weakly ionized NH+4 ions. Hence, conductance decreases up to the equivalence point.
Addition of NH4OH beyond equivalence point:
The conductance remains practically constant,due to increase in number of only NH4OH ions. NH4OH has very low conductance compared to HCl or NH4Cl
