The correct option is C 40 cm2
Given :
In ABCD, AB=8 cm,BC=AD=5 cm, and CD=2 cm
And altitude CE=8 cm which is the height of trapezium.
Area of trapezium =(a+b)2h
=8+22×8
=40 cm2.
