The diodes D1 and D2 are non-ideal with cut-in voltages of 0.7 V and forward resistance rf=0Ω and rrev=. The Zener diode Dz has forward voltage drop of 0.7 V and a Zener voltage of 5 V. If an input sine wave of maximum peak amplitude of 10 V is applied at Vin, then the transfer characteristic of the circuit can be represented as

Ans : (c)

For Vin>1.4V,Dz and D1 will be forward biased and thus, V0=Vin1.4V
and for Vin<5.7V.
diodes D2 will be in forward biased region and the Zener diode will be in breakdown region.
V0=Vin+5.7V
for 5.7VVin1.4V, the diodes will be off hence,
V0=0V
