Intercalary meristem are found in grass and are responsible for the formation of leaf primordia.
Primary meristem, along with the Promeristem is responsible for the primary growth of plant and is found in the Apical and intercalary region.
Lateral meristem is mostly responsible for the increase in girth of the plant. Thus Fascicular cambium, interfascicular cambium and cork cambium are types of lateral meristem.
The young dicot root has parenchymatous tissue called as conjunctive tissue. This tissue reverts back to meristematic state and becomes the cambium once the root matures.
