Construct a quadrilateral $$PQRS$$ in which $$PQ=4.4cm, QR=4.0cm,RS=6.4cm,SP=2.8cm$$ and $$QS=6.6cm$$. Measure the diagonal $$PR$$.

$$\Rightarrow$$  Draw line segment $$PQ=4.4\,cm$$
$$\Rightarrow$$  Take $$Q$$ as center with radius $$6.6\,cm$$ and draw an arc.
$$\Rightarrow$$  Take $$P$$ as center with radius $$2.8\,cm$$ and draw an arc, which meets previous arc at point $$S$$.
$$\Rightarrow$$  Take $$Q$$ as center with radius $$4\,cm$$ and draw an arc.
$$\Rightarrow$$  Take $$S$$ as center with radius $$6.4\,cm$$ and draw an arc, which meets previous arc at point $$R$$.
$$\Rightarrow$$  Join $$QR,PR,SR,SP$$ and $$QS$$.
$$\Rightarrow$$   Measure the length of diagonal $$PR.$$
$$\Rightarrow$$  We get $$PR=5.9\,cm$$
