Given, total cost of fencing = ₹12,000
Cost of fencing per meter = ₹30
So, perimeter of the square
$=\frac{\text{Total cost}}{\text{Cost per meter}}=\frac{12,000}{30}=400\text{m}$
$\because$ Perimeter of square = 4 x Length of side
$\therefore \text{Length of side}=\frac{\text{Perimeter of square}}{4}$
$=\frac{400}{4}$
$=100\text{m}$

Area of square = Length x Length
= $100\times 100$
= $10,000{\text{m}}^2$
