Curved surface area of a right circular cylinder is $$4.4$$ m$$^{2}$$. If the radius of the base of the cylinder is $$0.7$$m, find its height.


Solution

Given:
$$\Rightarrow$$$$R=0.7$$m
$$\Rightarrow$$CSA$$=4.4$$ m$$^{2}$$

Let's assume height be $$x$$

$$\Rightarrow$$$$2\pi rh=4.4$$ m$$^{2}$$ 

$$\Rightarrow$$$$2\times\dfrac{22}7 \times 0.7x=4.4$$

$$\Rightarrow$$$$x=\cfrac{4.4\times 7}{2\times 22\times 0.7}=1$$m

$$\Rightarrow$$Height $$=1$$m
