Solution

Minerals from which a metal can be profitably mined are called ores. Naturally occurring metals or its compounds in the earth along with sand, soil and rocks are called minerals. The amount of metal present in minerals is very important. Minerals in which the quantity of metal extracted is not profitable are not considered as ores. Thus, all ores are minerals but all minerals are not ores.
