(ii) Antibiotic is a chemical produced by microorganisms that are capable of destroying or inhibiting the growth of other microorganisms. They are differentiated from antiseptics by the property of being easily transferred to the lymphatic system to fight infections.
Penicillin is an example of an antibiotic.
