Define phenotypic adaption. Give one example.


Solution

Phenotypic adaptions are useful changes in morphology and physiology in response to the changing environmental conditions. They disappear when environment conditions return to normal.

Temporary dry conditions make the plants shed their leaves, which grow back again once the water availability becomes normal.
