ΔABC is isosceles with AB=AC=7.5cm and BC=9cm. The height AD from A to BC, is 6cm. Find the area of ΔABC. What will be the height from C to AB i.e., CE?

In ΔABC, AD=6cm and BC=9cm

Area of triangle=12×base×height=12×BC×AD

=12×9×6=27 cm2

Again, Area of triangle=12×base×height=12×AB×CE
27=12×7.5×CE

CE=27×27.5

CE=7.2cm

Thus, height from C to AB i.e., CE is 7.2cm.
