Given $17 A - \frac{2}{5} B = 8$
$85 A - 2 B = 40$ ………. $(2)$
$(A + B = 154)$ …….. $(1) \times (2)$
$\Rightarrow 85 A - / 2 B = 40$
$+ 2 A + / 2 B = 308$

$A = 4$
$B = 154 - 4 = 150$ .
