yes I agree with this statement. it is because,

​​1.cell is basic unit of life and a building unit of an organism.
2.All the living things (plants,animals)are made of cells.
3.just as a house is made up of bricks , in the same way , a living organism is made of cells.
4.cell is smallest unit which has a definite structure and performs a specific function .
5. cells come together to form tissues , tissues come together to form organs ,organs come together to form organ system , and these organ systems form
an organism.
6. thus cells are the building unit of every living organism on this earth.
