$\Rightarrow$ Draw a line segment AB = 6cm.

$\Rightarrow$ Construct an angle of ${60}^{\circ }$ at point B.

$\Rightarrow$ Cut off BC = 4cm.

$\Rightarrow$ We know that adjacent angle of parallelogram are supplementary then, we construct an angle of ${120}^{\circ }$ at points A and C both angle meet at point D.

$\Rightarrow$ Join diagonals AC and BD.

$\Rightarrow$ Measure length of diagonals we get,

$\Rightarrow$ $l\left(AC\right)=5.3cm$ and $l\left(BD\right)=8.7cm$

$\Rightarrow$ Sum of length of the diagonals = $l\left(AC\right)+l\left(BD\right)=5.3+8.7=14cm$.
